Politico, January 3: "President Obama spent the last day of his vacation as if he might not get another one for a while. In the hours before Air Force One was heading back to a cold and partisan Washington, Obama hit the beach, took his family for shave ice, visited his grandfather's grave, toured the Honolulu Zoo and went out to dinner."

President Obama held an ice pack over his mouth while the White House Christmas tree arrived on Friday. Mr. Obama required 12 stitches after an injury during a basketball game. AP photo.Ouch!
